IT Application Engineer, Cash Application – Amazon (Hyderabad)

The Finance Technology team at Amazon operates some of the largest and most complex software platforms in the world. This role focuses on enhancing applications used in procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and report-to-report business processes. It involves leading support and operations of Oracle e-Business suite modules, providing problem management, operational enhancements, and user support across multiple global applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business customers to understand and document business processes and requirements.
• Perform gap analysis to determine system configuration and necessary development changes in the Oracle e-Business suite.
• Design, code, and implement system modifications for modules such as Receivables, Cash Management, General Ledger, and more.
• Use SQL queries to troubleshoot and develop metrics and ad-hoc reporting.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including developers and Oracle Support, to resolve system issues and deliver high-quality services.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interact with business customers and document business processes.
• Experience in system design and modification, including coding.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience working with Oracle Financials, including Receivables, Cash Management, General Ledger, and other financial modules.
• Technical knowledge of Oracle e-Business suite, integration points, and technology processes.
• Ability to work independently and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across technical and functional teams.
• Expertise in root cause analysis and complex problem-solving.
