Job Description:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) for Alexa Devices, you will be testing cutting-edge applications and products at both user and code levels, manually and through automation. You will be responsible for understanding software internals, debugging problems, and writing automated tests using scripting tools. As a QAE, you’ll manage test strategy, planning, and execution, while contributing to code-level unit tests and ensuring the overall quality of the Alexa features. Your role will have a significant impact on both the business and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Test Alexa applications and products at both the user and code level.
- Create test plans and cases, manage the test case sign-off processes, and perform test execution and reporting.
- Develop automated test cases using Python for embedded software.
- Debug problems using log files and work closely with developers and product managers to deliver high-quality features.
- Improve existing processes and tools to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Ensure features and release candidates are thoroughly tested and verified before launch.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
- Experience in both manual and automated testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in automation development and testing using Python.
- Experience automating test cases for embedded software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with automated test frameworks like Selenium or Appium.
- Experience in gathering test requirements and creating detailed test plans.
- Experience as a QA lead on medium to large projects.
- Strong scripting or coding skills.
