LOA Case Manager – Amazon (Karnataka)

Amazon's Disability and Leave Services (DLS) Team is looking for a LOA Case Manager to manage leave of absence, disability, and accommodation cases for Amazon employees globally. This role focuses on providing professional services, case management, and employee support throughout the entire leave or disability event, ensuring a smooth, compliant, and effective process.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the single point of contact for employees during leave and disability events, providing comprehensive case management.
• Review medical documentation and adjudicate leave cases in compliance with Amazon's policies and federal/state regulations.
• Adapt and manage the case plan based on changing employee needs.
• Facilitate employees' return-to-work plans, ensuring a seamless transition.
• Provide guidance and communicate updates to managers and business partners on employee concerns.
• Maintain accurate system records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including third-party administrators, HR, Legal, Payroll, and Benefits teams.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in customer service, human resources, case management, or leave & disability management.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of US legislation related to Leave of Absence, Disability, and Accommodations (e.g., ADA/ADAAA, FMLA).
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with leave and disability claims management systems.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects or cases in dynamic environments with changing priorities.
• Experience handling confidential information.
