WHS Field Program Manager II, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) – Amazon (Karnataka)
Amazon is offering an exciting opportunity for driven, talented individuals to join as WHS Field Program Manager II. The role involves leading Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) initiatives for Value Added Services (VAS) across multiple categories in India. This position is focused on promoting safety culture and compliance among 3P partners and technicians while staying aligned with India's safety regulatory framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of WHS for VAS: Manage workplace health and safety compliance for value-added services across categories, ensuring that partners and technicians follow Amazon’s safety guidelines.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner with program managers, regional safety managers, training managers, and legal counsel to ensure compliance with local and regional regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Leverage lean principles and kaizen methods to drive continuous safety improvements, focusing on reducing risks during device installation and while technicians are on the road.
- Strategy Development: Work with the VAS category leader and program managers to create and update the VAS safety strategy document. Provide leadership updates through monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Travel: Be prepared for 30% travel across India to assess partner performance and support operational teams in streamlining processes.
- Safety Campaigns: Develop and execute safety campaigns for independent contractors and partners, ensuring effective communication through approved channels.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish mechanisms to track partner performance and update leadership regularly through weekly and monthly reviews.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- 3+ years of cross-functional experience working with tech and non-tech teams.
- 3+ years of process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
- Experience in defining program requirements and using data-driven metrics for improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in end-to-end project delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
- 3+ years of process improvement experience, with a focus on operational excellence.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across varied organizational levels.
- Proven experience in building processes, project management, and schedule management.
