Job Description: Security Track Specialist
Location: United States
Key Responsibilities:
- Security and Technical Requirement Translation: Interpret security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to stakeholders.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expertise on information security architecture and systems engineering to IT and business teams.
- Security Architecture Execution: Execute security architectures for cloud/hybrid systems, employing cloud-based APIs for safeguarding environments.
- Automation and Metrics: Automate security controls, data, and processes to improve metrics and operational support.
- Policy and Standards Shaping: Influence the organization’s security policies and standards for cloud environments.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with developers and database administrators to deliver creative solutions to technology challenges and business requirements.
- Issue Support and Demos: Support business application issues, perform technical/business demos on completed requirements.
- Emerging Threats: Stay updated on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls. Implement new security technologies and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Operating Systems and Cloud Ecosystems: Strong familiarity with Linux, Windows, and cloud provider ecosystems like AWS.
- Programming and Architecting: Experience in high-level programming languages (C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic) and architecting highly available systems.
- DevOps Knowledge: Experience with cloud deployment, build, and test automation technologies (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins).
- AWS Services: Familiarity with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53).
- Certifications: CISSP or equivalent security-related certifications and AWS Associate or higher Certification.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Teamwork and Analytical Skills: Strong teamwork abilities and excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
