Job Opportunity at Wipro: Test Engineer

Role Purpose: The purpose of this role is to prepare test cases and perform testing of the product/platform/solution to be deployed at a client end, ensuring it meets 100% quality assurance parameters.

Responsibilities:

1. Test Case Design and Execution:

   • Understand test requirements and design test cases for the product.
   • Author test plans with a comprehensive understanding of business and testable requirements.
   • Implement Wipro’s way of testing using Model-based testing for efficient test generation.
   • Ensure test cases are peer-reviewed to minimize rework.
   • Work with the development team to identify and capture test cases, and ensure version control.
   • Set criteria, parameters, scope/out-scope of testing, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
   • Automate the test life cycle process at appropriate stages through vb macros, scheduling, GUI automation, etc.
   • Design and execute the automation framework and reporting.
   • Develop and automate tests for software validation by setting up test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.
   • Ensure test defects are raised as per project/program/account norms with clear descriptions and replication patterns.
   • Detect bugs, prepare file defect reports, and report test progress.
   • Ensure no instances of rejection/slippage of delivered work items within Wipro/Customer SLA’s and norms.
   • Design and timely release test status dashboards at the end of every cycle test execution to stakeholders.
   • Provide feedback on usability and serviceability, trace results to quality risk, and report to concerned stakeholders.

2. Status Reporting and Customer Interaction:

   • Maintain quality interactions with customers regarding email content, fault report tracking, voice calls, business etiquette, etc.
   • Ensure on-time deliveries, including WSRs, test execution reports, and relevant dashboard updates in the test management repository.
   • Update accurate efforts in eCube, TMS, and other project-related trackers.
   • Respond to customer requests timely, ensuring no complaints internally or externally.

Stakeholder Interaction:

• Internal:
  • Lead Test Engineer and Project Manager for regular reporting and updates.
  • Software Developers for work coordination and support in providing testing solutions.
• External:
  • Clients to provide apt solutions and support as per requirements.
