Job Description:

Amazon’s Search Ops team supports Search services by delivering high-quality data annotation, which helps improve AI/ML models used in enhancing the customer search experience. This role as a Lead Data Specialist focuses on managing a team of 30-40 associates and ensuring productivity, quality, and process improvements. You will drive initiatives across multiple sites, collaborate with stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Perform in-depth analysis to identify patterns, problems, root causes, and solutions using analytical tools.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Align data analysis with business goals and provide insights for decision-making.
• Escalation Management: Analyze trends, manage escalations, and report key metrics to support resolution.
• Process Improvement: Review SOPs and tools to improve operational efficiency and quality metrics.
• Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Drive COE processes and participate in business reviews with leadership.
• Training & Coaching: Provide feedback for customized training, coach new hires, and ensure their integration into workflows.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on annotated data and ensure data integrity.
• Sensitive Data Handling: Work with sensitive data, adhering to privacy protocols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience as a subject matter expert or similar role.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of SQL, Python scripting, and machine learning concepts.
• Familiarity with quality tools like 5Ys, 7 QC, F.M.E.A.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience in e-commerce and online retail industry.
