ML Content Writer, AWS Bedrock
About AWS and the Role:
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is renowned for its innovative cloud solutions, ranging from foundational services like Amazon S3 and EC2 to cutting-edge advancements in areas such as Machine Learning (ML) and AI. As part of the AWS Utility Computing (UC) organization, this role specifically focuses on supporting the development of Bedrock, AWS’s generative AI platform. As an ML Content Writer, your primary responsibility will be to create and annotate datasets that will train and test Bedrock models and services. You’ll collaborate with the Bedrock Data Team to provide high-quality training data to optimize AWS machine learning systems, focusing on language understanding and natural language processing (NLP).
Location: ADCI - Karnataka
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle and process various data types including text, speech, image, audio, and video.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and follow all Amazon policies regarding customer privacy and data security.
- Deliver high-quality labeled data using internal tools and software, following detailed guidelines and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide feedback and contribute to improving tools, workflows, and processes.
- Work on testing workflows for new launches and report issues with tools/software as necessary.
- Exhibit ownership and initiative when identifying areas for process improvement.
About the Bedrock Team:
The Bedrock team consists of data associates and content writers working to support machine learning model training, with a particular focus on text-based data annotation, toxic content evaluation, and Responsible AI. Team members bring expertise in diverse fields such as sociolinguistics, computational linguistics, conversation analysis, syntax-semantics, and ESL.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Creative Writing, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Experience in identifying linguistic ambiguity and annotation inaccuracies.
- Ability to adhere to annotation guidelines and identify basic parts of speech.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Creative Writing, Journalism, or Linguistics.
- Passion for language, linguistics, AI, and human language technology.
- Familiarity with text markup languages such as JSON, YAML, XML, etc.
