Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline with proven experience coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong and applied knowledge of object-oriented programming languages such as C#.
  • Strong and applied knowledge of service infrastructure, frameworks, and technologies such as Azure Cloud Services, Azure Service Fabric, ASP.NET Core 2, .Net Framework, NuGet packages, and Git.
  • Knowledge of common services design patterns and application development best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to ramp up on both new and legacy technologies.
  • Experience in working within an agile software development team, leveraging experimentation and prototyping, while continuing to measure and iterate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python.
  • 1+ years of experience working on large-scale services.
  • Knowledge of RESTful web services technologies.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL data storage systems and patterns.
  • Knowledge of the latest data storage, analysis, and visualization systems (CosmosDB, PowerBI).
  • Knowledge of specific technologies such as Azure Cloud Services, Azure Service Fabric, ASP.NET Core 2, .Net Framework, NuGet packages, Git, Service Bus, Event Hub, Data Factory, Tables/Queues/Blobs, SQL, Key Vault, Application Insights nice to have.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software components and libraries for the Windows Developer Platforms.
  • Optimize existing codebase for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and other quality assurance activities.
