As a Finance & Admin Business Analyst at IBM, you will be a crucial part of our finance team, overseeing activities that enable IBM to continue delivering groundbreaking innovations like Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure, and Blockchain technologies. Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Practitioner – Record to Report (R2R), you will be responsible for various general accounting tasks, including reconciliations, preparation of Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss accounts, Fixed Assets Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, and Cash & Bank Accounting. You will also be involved in financial analysis and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Activities:
Coordinate all activities related to the General Ledger, focusing on fixed assets, inter-company transactions, inventory, cash and bank, indirect tax, and accruals.Financial Risk Management:
Identify risks or opportunities that could impact revenues, costs, and profitability, and propose appropriate actions to mitigate risks.Client Service:
Ensure that all client Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and timelines are consistently met.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
Educational Background:
Commerce Graduate with 2-4 years of experience in the Record to Report (R2R) domain.Accounting Skills:
Experience in preparing Balance Sheets, handling Month-End Close, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, and Cash Reconciliations.ERP Knowledge:
Experience in posting Journal entries and recording transactions in ERP systems.Audit Coordination:
Proven expertise in coordinating audits and managing customer expectations.Reporting:
Demonstrated ability to manage report updates for Management reviews.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
ERP Systems:
Working knowledge of ERP environments is preferred.Self-Management:
