Introduction

As a Finance & Admin Business Analyst at IBM, you will play a crucial role in the ongoing profitable operations of one of the most esteemed companies globally. Your expertise will support IBM in bringing market-leading innovations like Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Solutions, Cloud Infrastructure, and Blockchain technologies.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Record to Report (R2R) domain, your responsibilities will include general accounting tasks such as reconciliations, preparation of Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss accounts, Fixed Assets Accounting, Intercompany Accounting, Cash & Bank Accounting, financial analysis, and reporting. IBM offers a dynamic, collaborative workplace where you will be challenged and inspired daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Activities:
    • Coordinate all accounting activities associated with the General Ledger, including fixed assets, inter-company transactions, inventory, cash and bank, indirect tax, and accruals.
    • Identify risks or opportunities to revenues, cost, and profitability, and propose appropriate actions.
    • Ensure client Service Level Agreements (SLA) and timelines are met.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the Record to Report (R2R) domain.
  • Experience in preparing Balance Sheets, handling Month-End Close, Fixed Assets, Inter-company, and Cash Reconciliations.
  • Proficient in posting journal entries and recording transactions in an ERP.
  • Proven expertise in coordinating audits and managing customer expectations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing report updates for management reviews.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Working knowledge of ERP environments is preferred.
  • Ambitious individuals who can work independently towards agreed targets and goals.
  • Ability to manage change and handle stress effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to contribute to team efforts.
  • Commitment to maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
